Contact with confidence.
OpenSoon features built-in contact validation for all email,
phone numbers & addresses that the platform discovers.
All available phone numbers are validated and assigned a status:
[ Valid-Fixed ] the number is connected, and is a fixed line.
[ Valid-Mobile ] the number is connected, and is a mobile number.
[ Valid-Toll Free ] the number is connected, and is a toll free number.
[ Unknown ] we aren’t able to validate this number either way.
[ Invalid ] all invalid numbers are removed and not published to OpenSoon
All available emails are validated and assigned a status:
[ Valid ] the email is currently valid & deliverable. There should be next to no bounces for emails with ‘valid’ status.
[ Accepts All ] the email came back as valid, but the domain is configured to reply to all validation requests with a positive. From our experience the majority of these emails will be deliverable, but there will be some bounces.
[ Unknown ] we can’t validate the email one way or the other, usually it’s because the domain didn’t respond quickly enough. From our experience the majority of these emails will be deliverable, but there will be some bounces.
[ Invalid ] all invalid emails are removed and not published to OpenSoon.
All available addresses are validated and assigned a status:
Addresses are validated directly against the USPS database and assigned Delivery Point Validation status, which lets you know if USPS currently delivers mail to the address.
[ Valid-Mailable ] the address was matched to the USPS database, and USPS confirmed it is currently delivering mail to the address.
[ Valid-Vacant ] the address was matched to the USPS database, but USPS has assigned a vacant status to it, meaning it is not currently mailable. (This status often is assigned when mail isn’t being removed from the delivery receptacle).
[ Valid-Inactive ] the address was matched to the USPS database, however USPS is not currently delivering there. For instance a new building may have an address, however it won’t be activated until the tenant moves in.
[ Not Mailable ] no match could be found in the USPS database. This is often when the platform doesn’t have a full address for the business (for instance cross-streets, or general location).
